Proven Leadership for District Two
Michelle Belkot proudly represents District 2 on the Clark County Council. She was elected to stand up for taxpayers, protect neighborhoods, and ensure county government works for the people — not political agendas.
During her time in office, Michelle has:
Opposed new and unnecessary taxes
Fought to protect District 2 from annexation
Worked to block Light Rail taxes and tolls
Prioritized funding for Clark County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency services
Focused county spending on core services
Michelle believes public service means listening first, protecting family, and making responsible decisions with taxpayer dollars.
Standing Up for District Two
-
No New Taxes
Families are already stretched too thin.
Inflation, rising utility bills, and higher costs at the grocery store have made life harder for working families. Michelle believes the county must manage existing resources responsibly before asking taxpayers for more.
She will continue to oppose tax increases and fight for financial accountability.
-
Protect District 2 From Annexation
Local decisions should stay local.
District 2 neighborhoods deserve a voice in their future. Michelle is committed to protecting residents from unwanted annexation and ensuring any changes prioritize taxpayers and service quality.
County residents should not face higher city taxes with little in return.
-
No Light Rail Taxes or Tolls
Working families shouldn’t foot the bill.
Michelle opposes new taxes or tolls that disproportionately impact commuters and middle-class families. Transportation solutions must be practical, affordable, and regionally fair.
District 2 taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize projects that don’t serve them.
-
Public Safety & Core Services First
The government’s first responsibility is safety.
Michelle fought to fund more deputies and strengthen emergency response services. She believes county government must prioritize law enforcement, fire protection, and essential infrastructure before expanding programs or increasing spending.
Safe neighborhoods and reliable services come first.
